Your first focus should be to boost your immune system as opposed to buying all the toilet paper.
How do I boost my immune system? Glad you asked.
1. Eat raw fruits, vegetables and nuts and lots of water.
You are what you eat. Your body is a complex organism that requires nutrition to function. Vitamins extract nutrients from food so if you take vitamins without eating raw food you are wasting money.
2. Eat anti inflammatory foods (including dark chocolate).

3. Get Sun exposure, Vitamin D, Exercise, Sauna and maintain a healthy weight.

4. Don't smoke. If you drink alcohol, drink only in moderation.
5. Get adequate sleep.

6. Take steps to avoid infection, such as washing your hands frequently and cooking meats thoroughly.

7. Try to minimize stress.
Stress is the silent killer. Avoid it at all costs.
8. Exercise & even Sex (Oh yeah!)
Physical activity helps flush bacteria out of the lungs and airways. This reduces your chance of getting a cold, flu, or other illness. Exercise causes change in antibodies and white blood cells (WBC). WBCs are the body's immune system cells that fight disease. If you dont already have a routine a simple daily walk will work wonders.
In a study of college students, those who had sex once or twice per week had the highest levels of immunoglobulin A (IgA) in their saliva. IgA is an immune molecule that helps protect us against illnesses like the common cold. Students who had sex once or twice per week had more salivary IgA than students who were not sexually active, infrequently sexually active (less than once a week), or who were very sexually active (three or more times per week). Enjoying sex up to a couple of times per week seems to be the sweet spot for promoting optimal IgA levels.
Results of studies show that pet owners have lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels compared to those who do not own pets. Pet owners had lower total cholesterol and triglycerides compared to non-pet owners. This may translate to better overall heart health and reduced risk of heart disease. Dog owners may enjoy improved heart health in part because they are more likely to engage in physical activity because they walk their dogs regularly. Pet ownership in childhood is linked to decreased susceptibility to allergies.
10. A Positive attitude is everything, Meditation
Expect good things and your immune system will follow. A study of law students found that their immune systems were stronger when they felt optimistic. Make optimism work for you. Try to see the glass as half full, not half empty. Practice gratitude and think of at least three things that you are grateful for every day. Imagine the best outcome for situations, even difficult ones. You may not always be able to control events around you, but you can always decide how to respond to them. Respond with a good attitude to increase the chances of the best outcome and to strengthen your immunity. Meditation has been studied for decades to help reduce stress.

About Dr. Rhonda Patrick (FoundMyFitness.com)
She did her graduate research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital where she investigated the link between mitochondrial metabolism, apoptosis, and cancer. Her groundbreaking work discovered that a protein that is critical for cell survival has two distinct mitochondrial localizations with disparate functions, linking it’s anti-apoptotic role to a previously unrecognized role in mitochondrial respiration and maintenance of mitochondrial structure. Her dissertation findings were published in the 2012 issue of Nature Cell Biology.
Dr. Patrick trained as a postdoctoral fellow at Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute with Dr. Bruce Ames. She investigated the effects of micronutrient (vitamins and minerals) inadequacies on metabolism, inflammation, DNA damage, and aging and whether supplementation can reverse the damage. In addition, she also investigated the role of vitamin D in brain function, behavior, and other physiological functions. In February of 2014 she published a paper in FASEB on how vitamin D regulates serotonin synthesis and how this relates to autism.
Dr. Patrick has also done research on aging at the Salk Institute for Biological Sciences. At the Salk she investigated what role insulin signaling played in protein misfolding, which is commonly found in neurodegenerative diseases.
